Acorn International Summer School is based in a beautiful Grade II listed boarding school in the heart of the North Yorkshire countryside.  Terrington Hall School is situated in the village of Terrington which is in the Howardian Hills of North Yorkshire in an area designated as being of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The school is around eight miles from the market town of Malton and the city of York is approximately 14 miles to the South.  York itself is 2 hours away from London by train. [click here for a map)

Facilities are excellent at the school and as well as large and airy classrooms, the school also has a large Sports Hall, a well-equipped Music Department, an indoor Swimming Pool, two superb science laboratories, a modern computing suite and twelve acres of land, most of which is games pitches.

The boarding facilities are located in the oldest and grandest part of the school and comprise of beautiful light and spacious dormitories that accommodate between 4 and 8 children. Period features such as large sash windows and original woodwork can be found in these rooms and all of them have plenty of storage for even the most well equipped child!
